Here are 2 ideas for summer weddings. The second option would be great for cooler weather as it comes with the jacket. My personal favorite is the teal dress, I love the way it drapes. With either of these two dresses, be sure to highlight your curves with an amazing bra that pushes the girls up and a "spanx" to highlight your hourglass shape.
I'm not sure how you feel about a shorter number, which can be fun, plus it sounds like you're you're proud of your body. I just did a post for Chosenstock's blog. It's about a great style of dress that's hot this season which I call the "drop waist" dress. If you keep the hemline short this will work on petites. Avoid longer versions on this style.
This was the most fun I ever had in an interview! While I chatted to Michelle from Happygrrls.com we did a taste test of different martini's to try to find the perfect signature Petite Fashionista drink. As promised, here are some more tips for finding the perfect swimsuit for your figure!
When choosing swimwear, as well as any other garment, try to emphasize your best features and move the eye away from those body parts that might not be your favorites. Petites should also take care to elongate the body as much as possible. Heavenly Hips Those lovelies who are smaller on top and larger on the bottom should emphasize their sexy chest and shoulders and make sure to fit and flatter their hips and behind.
1. A bikini that would be especially enchanting on a petite with larger hips would be this blue patterned one by Victoria’s Secret. It has a sexy bandeau top that will make the most of your assets and a bottom with side ties that make it easy to adjust for a perfect fit without squeezing. The print also pulls the eye away from any bumps or lumps and helps to avoid any see-through issues. 2. If you desire even more coverage on the bottom there are many suits with adorable little skirts like this one in red from Kenneth Cole Reaction. 3. For those ladies who are looking for a one-piece wonder, this pink Lepell swimsuit has removable foam inserts for a little oomph on top and a full coverage bottom with legs cut moderately high to lengthen the leg. The wide spaced halterneck straps on all three suits will also widen the shoulders, balancing the lower body.
Sexy, Slim and Slender Those who are lucky to be slender all over can wear many of the fun suits with pizzazz that abound. The added excitement from patterns and details brings sexy emphasis where you want it.
1. The cut out sides on this one piece by La Blanca will create waves of admiration and gives a straight figure a more hourglass shape. The dramatic neckline and fun pattern also draws the eye. 2. A little ruffle here and there can create sexy curves while a flirty pattern generates interest. The adorable bikini from Maaji has lots of fun details to spice up any poolside party. 3. Finally, this lilac bikini from Victoria’s Secret has cool strap details to keep all eyes on your incredible figure. The bandeau style top adds a little bit of width to your bust area while the sexy ruching creates curves.
Busty and Beautiful A bountiful bosom need not make petites run for cover under a t-shirt. Support those assets and you will be the sweetheart of the shore. Luckily, many brands now offer swimsuits with the styling and support of a bra in a range of size and style options. 1. The supportive bra-style top of this green Fantasie bikini is flattering on those with a bigger bust. No need to be constantly worrying about falling out of the top or fiddling with slipping straps. The moderate coverage bottoms balance your top half and offer a little tummy taming for any bumps that may be below the belt. 2. With summer on the way it is time to start the search for the perfect swimsuit. There are so many wonderful options out there to fit and flatter your body. To avoid the awful glare of fluorescent lighting in stores, try shopping for your swimwear on the internet. There are many sites that offer a wide range of suits to work well with your petite figure.
Finally, don’t forget the key accoutrements with any swimsuit: plenty of water and sunscreen, sexy shades, and a big smile! Have fun in the sun!
